The economic benefits are calculated by the SimHerd simulation programme based on the Nordic conditions, which has a strong scientific foundation. The simulation model accounts for associations between milk production, health, reproduction, and climate impact. It simulates each cow in the herd over a 10-year period, and repeats it 100 times to ensure reliable results.

The data is the result of six different simulations based on two scenarios and three different levels of herd performance.
